I Wish…

I wish that I could quit eating
but it seems vital to staying alive.
God gave me a food loving body
but it all goes straight to my thighs.
I’ve been dieting all of my life…
So many veggies I think I’m a rabbit
but just put me in range of a doughnut
and I can do nothing but grab it!
I wish that I could quit eating
and wither away ‘til I’m skinny.
I’d buy lots and lots of new clothes
and dream that I’d always stay mini.
But a dream is all it would be
as a dream it has always been;
so pass me the cake and ice cream
‘cause I ain’t never gonna be thin!
